G’mornin Nomads,

Hope we all survived Monday! Here are some quick snippets of our #Nomaddic field day over the weekend in SF, CA.

As avid fans of art, we decided to play around w/ some vintage gear for our snapshots by utilizing a G. Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 prime which originates from the 70s! That means no auto focus or exposure and on top of that, on a crop frame sensor; which means we were actually shooting at ~44.8mm. These are shot in RAW format and then later converted to monochrome to show homage to traditional 35mm B&W photography. Enjoy!

"Drought" San Francisco, CA March 16, 2014 Apple iPhone 5  There is a certain aspect of invisibility that you get from mobile photojournalism… It isn’t as intrusive as pointing a D-SLR at someone… In a way, it holds true to what documentary should be in that it does not cause the subject to alter their behavior allowing us photographers to capture someone truly in their nature. I photograph images like these to illustrate my fascination in the public human behavioral complex. Isn’t it interesting to see people doing something that you wouldn’t normally do yourself? That is cultural aberration for us and I hope to help embrace that through my work.
